Like Poseidon in the water, Bob “The Greek” Bolen took to surfing like he was a mythological character, beinning his surfing career in the late 50’s with great passion. A self-taught surfer and shaper The Greek has been in the company of many legendary surf icons. Beginning in the 1960’s The Greek has shaped custom boards for a great many surfers. His design efforts have produced well-known models like The Eliminator, The Maui Model, and The Pickle, helping to put The Greek on the shaper map.
In recent years, The Greek had backed off from his previously significant factory schedule, shaping only a few special boards per year. This left time to pursue other life adventures including the development of his Turbo Tunnel fin and also surfing some of his favorite Southern California spots; Doheny, Huntington and Dana Point. Now, returning to his first love of surfboard design, The Greek has partnered with Surftech to produce a timeless classic in the best available technology.
