Although I lived landlocked for a large majority of my life and grew up as a pool swimmer, the ocean was always calling my name and I could not stay away.  After swimming at Rice University, I needed a new sport to fuel my competitive nature.  Having family in San Diego, I made the small beach town of Coronado my home and started lifeguarding.  It was here where I fell in love with paddling as many of my coworkers were heavily involved in the sport.  I started my journey as a prone paddler and have raced competitively for nearly 5 years now.  My most rewarding athletic experiences thus far have been winning the 32 mile crossings of the Ka'iwi Channel in the Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboard World Championships and the Catalina Channel in the Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race.  I also will never forget the experience with Team USA winning the team GOLD in the 2015 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championships.

Needing a new challenge this last year I have started paddling and racing on the standup paddleboard as I have big goals to be competitive in both prone and SUP paddling.  I not only love to paddle, but am an avid surfer, body surfer, and open water swimmer.  I try my best everyday to live in accordance to what the ocean is doing!

I am also a huge advocated for fitness and healthy living and work as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor here in Coronado.  I have been blessed to be able to live out my passion to its fullest at a young age, and I love to help others find theirs… whether this involves the ocean or not!
